A New Life Chapter Seven: Going for It All
Alison’s date with Andre causes quite a stir with many of her friends.
“You know all those rumors are just that, right? Rumors?” Jaquelyn asked as I told her about my upcoming lunch date.
“I am not dumb,” I nodded.
“Okay,” Jaquelyn said as she looked at me.
“So, what is it really like then?” I asked.
“Same, nothing is different,” Jaquelyn nodded. “Nathan is the same as Derek, Andy and all the other men I have been with, all of them have minor differences, but all the same within reason.”
I nodded. I wanted to be prepared for anything if things went beyond a lunch date.
“What are you thinking about?” Jaquelyn asked.
I didn’t want to tell her exactly what I was thinking. It had been the same thing I was thinking about last night and this morning.
“Ah,” Jaquelyn smiled as she looked at me through our video call. “Sex with a black man,” she laughed.
