Gaming Life Chapter Five: Legendary Loot

After a successful night with the guild, Rick learns about a few things that he didn’t expect and then some.

It was just like Gregg predicted; Natalie quit the guild when Debra said she was switching her out for Alyssa. Immediately after Natalie left, Gregg quit the guild with no warning.

I tried to call or message him, but he didn’t answer. I took the hint. Two others quit, also following Natalie to another guild.

Poor idiots thought she cared about them and probably told all of them the same thing.

We got more bosses down and only had the final boss left for the next raid night.

‘What are you going to do about your friend?’ Kelly asked.

‘Nothing,’ I replied.

I had tried to contact him many times over the past two days, and he hadn’t replied or texted back, so the way I saw it, he had chosen her over me. So, fuck it.

The new guild they were in was still a raiding guild, but they were more casual about it than us. Which I was sure was what Natalie wanted, as for the others. One had already messaged Debra and wanted to return to the guild. I knew the others would be asking…
