Gaming Life Chapter Four: Looking for More

Questions finally get answered, and Rick finally confronts his friend about his crush.

Kelly hadn’t said a word to me for days now. I had even left messages for her a couple of times.

Raid day was quickly approaching, and I wanted to tell her that the others had said she had made the final cut for the first team.

‘Maybe you pissed her off by not commenting on her photo,’ Gregg texted me one day.

‘Or, that some of you made it known that you thought she was fat,’ I replied.

‘Hey, truth hurts, not my fault someone said it in voice,’ Gregg responded.

‘Whatever, I got to head into the building, can’t put off work,’ I said as I put the phone away.

I walked inside and immediately got down to work. Emily was there and was getting things done. I was glad I had made her a lead. She had stepped up to the plate and knocked it out of the park. What a little motivation and trust could do to a person was amazing.

“Things are looking good today,” Emily said as she showed me the order sheets.

“Wow, night shift really put in work,” I said.
