Another night at the bar, and as usual, Terrence was giving me the cold shoulder. It seemed like Sandy had told him not to talk to me. Either way, I didn’t care.
I was happy with what I had with Lauren and Teri; nothing could bring me down from my cloud.
I saw the three guys that had come in before, and they were heading for Rick’s office. I quickly made my way there before they could reach the door.
“Nope, not today,” I said as I stood before them.
“Well, look who it is,” the man in the suit said as he motioned for his brutes to step out of the way. “Now, who might you be then?”
“The guy standing between you and Rick,” I said. “Last time you got back there without introducing yourselves and telling us why you came, but not today.”
“It’s okay Vance,” Rick said. “Let them through,” he said with a bit of reluctance.
Terrence made his way through as well. We walked to the back and stood there as the man in the suit and Rick talked shop, as he liked to call his talks behind closed doors.
