True Calling Chapter Two: Things Get Better.
After a fight at work, things for Vance start to get better.
“Good morning,” Teri said as I left my room. “Someone slept in,” she remarked as she walked around the living room in a gown. I could see everything as it was pink and nearly see-through.
“What time is it?” I asked.
“Nearly eleven,” Teri said. “Lauren left early this morning.”
I nodded. I did not doubt Lauren had gone to get her stuff from Terrence’s house while he was away at work.
“She is moving in here?” I asked.
“Of course,” Teri nodded.
“I better go, my shift starts soon,” I nodded as I looked outside at a car. “Seriously?”
“What? A girl must make a living,” Teri said as she shooed me out the door.
Teri didn’t work, well, I should say she didn’t hold an ordinary job; she wasn’t an escort or anything, but Brian, the guy parked outside, took photos and videos of her in various sexual acts, and then she posted them online.
