Slowly I began to wake up. My thoughts were still cloudy. The taste of alcohol filled my mouth; turning over, I saw a few empty bottles on the small table by the bed. The events of the night slowly came back to me.
Then I remembered how I had left my boyfriend. Even though I had left him many times before, this time, I was confident that I wouldn’t return.
I looked around, searching for Damien. There was no sign of him in the bedroom. I got up then went into the bathroom. There was a sticky note stuck to the mirror.
