Chapter Two: The Second Night

I got up earlier than Jill and decided that I should make breakfast since she had made dinner. I had one thing and one thing only I was good at making for breakfast, and that was Chorizo Omelets with potatoes. Everyone liked them.

I remembered Jill liked things spicy, so I put a little more spices and peppers into it, and the kitchen smelled good when I heard Jill’s door open.

“What is that smell?” Jill said, coming into the kitchen.

“See for yourself,” I smiled.

“Oh, you know a way to a fat girls heart,” Jill smiled. “Where did you get everything from? Or should I ask when?”

“I got up early and went down to the grocery store,” I smiled.

“That must have been very early,” Jill said as she stared at me. “I didn’t hear anything.”

“I can be silent when I want to,” I nodded.

“Have you heard anything from Elize?” Jill asked, looking at her phone.

“Nope,” I shrugged.

“Paul hasn’t answered a text or my phone call,” Jill said, putting her phone down.

.

I picked up my phone, went to Elize’s social media page, and put it on the counter.
