Welcome to the Neighbourhood: Chapter Five
I couldn’t imagine things getting any better. My new project was off and running. The house was happy with what I sent them so far. I had bought the car of my dreams. Nothing seemed to go wrong until I played ball with a self-centred maniac.
Sure, I had given in, in front of a whole crowd of people, now whenever they saw me at the gym, the grocery store, they all bleeped like the roadrunner.
It wasn’t only me that was getting it. The rest of the guys were also getting hazed.
On the other front, Toni had sent out a message saying that we should calm down all visits as someone had mentioned seeing a female leave my house late at night.
I had questioned why it should matter if a woman left my house. Toni mentioned that the person knew who it was leaving and threatened to tell everyone.
My only thought was that it had to be Alicia, but it was early morning, not late at night.
Still, it was the right thing to do as they were married with children. Last night, my thoughts of stealing them away were just wild thoughts during good sex.
I had no intention of stealing them away. They had their lives to lead.
