Work Relations: Chapter Six
I thoroughly enjoyed watching Gina squirm every time I hit any buttons. I also got a few choice text messages from her that let me know she was having as much fun as I was. She would smile at me now and then from across the sales floor.
Then Celia ruined my fun as she decided to pay us a surprise visit. I knew better than to do anything while she was around.
Celia was impressed by the turnaround in the department and my evaluations of my team. Something that rarely happened on her visits.
In our meeting room, Celia also told the management team that Aaron had got his wish and was granted a promotion to a store within the division.
We all had to stop ourselves from laughing as it was a horrible store in a very competitive location. Aaron was visibly upset when Celia made the announcement.
When Celia left, Aaron was pissed. He fumed about it, saying things like feminism and that Celia was only doing it because she was friends with Gina.
I was sure some of it was true, but I couldn’t think of another person that deserved to get fucked over.
“At least you get to run it the way you want,” Gina smiled. “You won’t have to put up with things around here anymore.”
